Let's Watch: WWE Elimination Chamber 2026
Welcome to the Let's Watch: WWE Elimination Chamber 2026
This will be a recap of the event, match results and overall thoughts on the show
The PLE opens up with the Women's Elimination Chamber Match
Alexa Bliss v Asuka v Tiffany Stratton v Rhea Ripley v Raquel Rodriguez v Kiana James
They made Raquel seem like an absolute powerhouse. Rhea does a killer job at selling everything that came her way. Kiana played the smart/sly wrestler and was impressive, I hope they continue with her story. I felt like Asuka and Alexa were just after thoughts unfortunately, as they didn't have much memorable impact in the match except the Mist that eliminated Alexa. Having Rhea win felt foretold, when she had lost the tag titles the night before
My personal grade - B+
They went to the Woman's Intercontinental match next
Becky Lynch (c) v AJ Lee
It's surreal to see AJ Lee in a singles match after all this time. I've kept up and read her comics other things she has done (BTW IUf you haven't read her comics, I do suggest you do). There are 2 types of heels, the powerful one that nobody can get past, and the annoying one that knows how to rub you the wrong way. Becky definitely falls into the later category. The spot with the ref became obvious when she went outside the ring to grab the pad. AJ winning the title leads up to continue the feud and also bring Jessika Carr (the ref) into the mix. Many don't know she's actually a wrestler, so I'm interested in seeing how this story continues.
My Personal grade - B-
The World Heavyweight title match is 3rd on the card
Finn Balor v CM Punk (c)
The match started a bit slow but picked up towards the middle. I liked that it was a actually wrestling match I feel like those have been far and few between lately. CM Punk played up his rib being in pain well, and Finn was able to take control of it. It was a good old fashioned psychological match with both stars shining. Finn kept his promise and there was no interference, hopefully this is the start of WWE using Finn as the star he is.
My Personal Grade - A-
Danhausen appeared from the mysterious crate. I love Danhausen and I hope they use him the way he needs to be used
Lastly we have the Mens Elimination Chamber Match
Trick Williams v LA Knight v Randy Orton v Logan Paul v Cody Rhodes v Je'Von Evans
This match was in my opinion thrown together. Some of the stars in there are there just to progress a storyline that could have been done other places. I understand why they gave Logan Paul 3 eliminations, I'm not saying he's not worthy, I don't feel he's worthy yet. They did it to do the "masked man" angle (how many times are we going to see this angle?) and build the hype for Rollins vs Vision. Then a second interference by Drew McIntyre. At that point, what was the point of the chamber, most of the action came from outside of it. Orton winning was an interesting call, and I hope he gets a one on one match for the title, but i see other things occuring. Overall the match was a mess and a weak end to the show
My personal grade - C
Thoughts: there was roughly 86 minutes of wresting on a PLE that registered as roughly 150 minutes. With only 4 matches, thats a lot of time that wasn't utilized. Now I know stories must be told, but having just as much of the PLE taken up by the building of stories and ads as the actual wrestling is a bit. Having each match average a bit over 20 minutes is a great thing in general (even for the non "entry" style matches), to me thats a great way to add to the story. matches aren't just action, they tell stories as well. The highlight of the night was in my opinion the Women's Elimination Chamber Match
My Personal Overall Grade - B-
